    Macro season is coming....

Just playing around some today, found some weeds in the yard and decided to see what they look like under high magnification. The little green bug is an aphid, about 1.2mm long. The white weed looked like a tiny dandelion, but it is composed of tiny flowers, as you can see. The white ones are with extension tubes and a macro, it's smaller than a pencil eraser. All were shot handheld, ISO 200, f/11, 1/125 sec.

Good stuff. I like #1 best - kinda artsy and abstract, yet grounded in reality, if that doesn't sound to much like I'm putting on pseudo-intellectual arty airs...

Very impressive for such small subjects at high magnification and hand held!

The last one looks like it's straight out of a sci-fi picture: a creature amidst an alien forest.
