    Lone Survivor....Mallard chick

I have been watching several Mallard and Wood Ducks families down by the lake. This Mallard Chick had 5 siblings 10 days ago.... now he is the lone survivor.

I hear ya Paul.....These cats are out of control here in florida thats for sure. Can't wait for Eagle season in September....should eliminate the smaller ones. Friend of mine has a photo of a Bald Eagle with Ferell Cat in talons

Love the image, especially the angle of the shot!

I was out at a local state park this weekend watching a gator stalk some Black-Bellied Whistling Duck chicks, normally I'm all for nature taking its course but they were just too darn cute not to hope they got away.
