    Limpkins..In the woods

Usually I find these Limpkins in Wetland Areas or marshes but I located this one in the woods along a creek with Cypress Knees near my house!!

Wow--I'm really envious of you FL guys. You, Canon Bob and Ira all take such great bird pix--I mean as good as I've seen anywhere.
I wonder if the FL light quality has something to do with it too?
Do you know any rich, old ladies I could come live with down there?

I have never seen or heard of a limpkin before. What better way to be introduced than these shots of yours. DAMN... they look like large format. Do you use a tripod or ?
All of your shots just blow my mind.
If I had the money to move, I just might.

I just love that first image! The richness of the colors, that tree, that pose, that reflection...

    Great stuff!

Great shots! The context of the cypress knees and the shoreline really adds something...sometimes stuff like that is distracting, here it definitely isn't!

Congratulations on FP Eric, lovely shots. We have Limpkins down here in Brasil and I know they can be difficult to get close to.
