Limpkin chicks - only 5 remain

The good news is that the Limpkin Chicks are now 8 days old and have lost the egg tooth from their beaks. The bad news is that a predictor apparently took another chick and only 5 now remain.

A few photos today taken under poor lighting conditions..

    1. Adult Limpkin on the lookout while the chicks sleep about 6' below her.

    2. The sleeping chicks

    3. Chick waiting for food from the adult

    4. Out for a walk
