    Life Without Refrigeration

    kinda sucks

It always amazes me just how much time must be spent for the sole purpose of finding food. These were taken yesterday before I came across the even more hungry baby barn swallows.

The two male red-winged black bird images are of the same bird in two different locations. He finally dropped his beetle load so that he could yell at me with even more gusto.

    Re: Life Without Refrigeration

    Thanks, guys!

I will admit that I was not intending to shoot that RWBB. I shot so many earlier this year that I sort of ignore them now. I had my back to this one but it kept pestering me (I must have been near his nest) so I took a close look at him through the viewfinder. Only with the 600mm did I notice that he had something in his beak. Only after I noticed him did he decide to move to spot #2. I like spot #1 myself.

Reminder to self that I must be even more observant of all things around me. And I'm already the slowest hiker anyone has seen. Like watching someone try to break the record for the slowest walker in the world
