walked around for a couple of hours today, hoping to see a bird other than sparrows, pigeons, etc. Didn't work out the way I had hoped, but I did find an apple tree with a bunch of american robins and grackles feasting on the rotting fruit. Robins sitting in trees didn't really interest me, but the feeding element made for a couple of decent shots. With any luck the arrival of spring will be hastened into january, so as to avoid the unnecessary evil of january-april.




and I accidently scared this guy up the smallest tree ever - I normally try not to spend a whole lot of time on squirrels, since I see thousands of them on a daily basis, but as long as he was a captive audience, what the heck?
