    Leafing Through

I spent a great deal of time this autumn looking for that one-in-a-billion leaf.

    Didn't find it.

But during a hike with the family at a local park, I spotted one leaf that was spectacularly lit by the sun. I had only a few moments to get this shot right before the sun moved on by. This is actually an extreme crop of what I shot, but the detail on the leaf made me really enjoy the abstract/painted/artificial quality about it.

Did you leave it behind or take it with you?

Paul & Alex - thanks for looking!

Paul - never even touched it

Here's the full image (with bottom slightly trimmed off) - liked how the leaves and light work the background.

Original is very nice too, in its own way... showcasing the bokeh of whatever lens you were using! Also love the lighting and background.

#1 places more emphasis on the leaf itself, and the colors/patterns/details.

Like 'em both – great job, as always.
