    Beautiful shots. How did you manage to get them? Very fast lens?

    The last image didn't quite make it, but the link is there.

    Re: Last shots to insects in flight

    I have a Firefox plugin "EXIF Viewer" it does exactly that.

    Camera Make {0x010F} = NIKON CORPORATION
    Camera Model {0x0110} = NIKON D300
    Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) {0x829A} = 2/1000 second ===> 1/500 second ===> 0.002 second
    Lens F-Number / F-Stop {0x829D} = 56/10 ===> ƒ/5.6
    Exposure Program {0x8822} = aperture priority (3)
    ISO Speed Ratings {0x8827} = 400
    Focal Length {0x920A} = 180/1 mm ===> 180 mm
    Focal Length in 35mm Film {0xA405} = 270

    thank you very much
    The problem is that there is nothing to explain
    D300 and 70/180 macro. Time fast, Burst and manual focus
    and observe the behavior of insects to find the best time to do these shots
    in my gallery and in all my gallery also
