    Last set of eagle shots...

My last set of eagles, mixed bag of in flights and roosting

    1

2 One coming down to fish as the other flies by

    3 Roosting on plum island

    4

    5 Cropped in

    6 More in flights

    7

    8

9 Folks watching across the river at the IL Waterways Visitor's Center

10 Juvie landing in the edge of the river

11 Preparing to land in the trees

12 Must be eagle happy hour...

    13 Another inflight.

    14 Juvie

    15 In flight

16 Eagle #3 decided to land whether or not eagle #2 liked it or not. This was across the river so not the best quality, but my favorite part is how eagle #1 on the end just watches all of this.

I had a rented 300mm 2.8L IS with a 2x TC, and a 60D. Shot from a monopod with a ball head. Manual settings... For the most part kept it on single point af.

CaraRose, what do I say...I don't think I have seen pictures of so many baldies in one place at one time - great shots - thanks for sharing. We have a few that over-winter along the river as long as they can find food where the water is open, but nothing like this. I like the last two showing one trying to intrude on the other - I find it interesting to watch birds in groups or "flocks" and how they interact, or not, with each other.

    Cheers,
