A friend and I went driving the backroads in this windy and gloomy weather, just to see what there was to see. The lakes are already wide open around here. My friend noticed something on this rock. At first, he thought it was just another rock. Due to the darkness and distance, it was just a dark blob that just didn't look quite right. I stopped and let the window down and he looked at it thru his lens. He could tell it was a bird, and then I heard it and knew immediately it was a Meadow Lark. It's not a great shot, but it is unique. We also came across a couple Killdeer, on the way back, amidst the flurries of snow. It is my first Killdeer shot.
