This is very sharp and well framed. if they weren't 'kissing' I would have thought they were decoys, they look so good.

Something that doesn't detract from your photo, but what are those white blotches on this photo? something in the water, or even water on your lens?

Now that is one awesome photo. This should be entered in a contest somewhere. Behaviour shots like this are rare.

    Great timing and great subject!

Lovely shot with universal appeal. Would sell very nicely.

Thank you for the kind words folks!!

Retroactiv, I checked the original file and others from the same scene. I believe those white blotches are something on the water. Let's just say the water was not pure and clean.

After I saw that couple of wood ducks, I noticed that the male were pecking on the cheek of the female a few times while swimming together. So I decided to train my camera on them to see what I'd get.

    Here's another look of them:

Wood ducks are beautiful birds, that first shot is really great, the second is good too although I'd be tempted to clone out the stick in the foreground. Both are super!

Those are great, photos they really are, again they don't look real. So crisp, and the look like I could reach through the screen and pluck a feather from one of them.

    Thanks!

Fuji S5 + 240mm + ISO 640 + f4 +1/400 sec. I may have used a tripod for this one but not sure now. I started with some taken hand-held and then I used the tripod for the rest of the shots.
