    Killdeer chicks

Found 2 Adult Killdeers with 4 chicks on the way home this evening. Seems the are living out in the field by the pond. Here are 2 of 4 chicks...

Ah, the bird my wife refers to as the "faker bird". Love the chicks. I think I have only seen chicks once, while walking the dogs, and no camera. Very cool!

Love it. One of these days I figure I'll find a nest. I sure find them trying to distract me away from their nest a lot.

NIce capture Eric - thanks for sharing. I have seen killdeer with chicks once or twice in the last few years, but only towards the end of the season when they are almost as big as the adults...never when they are this small.

Too cute! Those are some tiny chicks.

We get killdeer around my parts but I've never been able to find eggs nor see any chicks.
