Juvenile Common Loon

I think I've identified this correctly. I've not photographed a loon before, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a juvenile.

He was a ways out on the water, and these ended up being 1-to-1 crops of the center of my frame, so he was at the limit of my lens's reach.

D7000, ED 70-300 VR.




I'm pretty sure we're not ready to fly, yet.... (although he was quite the diver, disappearing for over a minute at a time)
