    Juvenile Bald Eagle

    Found this guy hunting for dinner along the Pecatonica River in northwest Winnebago County, Illinois. The backlighting was very strong and he was covered up by the branches so it was not ideal shooting conditions but it's always fun to be able to catch one of these guys through your lens.

    Very nice photo! Do they go "bald" when they become older? lol

    I mean does the white head come in after a few years or something?
