Just Another Carteret County Sunset

Working in Carteret County does have it's advantages.

These was taken last Thursday, on a lot on Bogue Sound.

I'm glad you liked it. I remember your shot from Down East. Davis? Stacy? Somewhere down there. Sunrise and sunsets are easier when you've got great scenery to go with them.

Hey Lava Lamp,

I shot both of these with the Coolpix 5700. The first one was with the lens at it's widest setting (35mm) and the second one was shot zoomed all the way out (280mm).

I like the first one because you can see the range of colors (due to the wide angle of the shot) from red on the horizon to blue sky at the top of the frame. I thought it was a neat effect.

In real estate, it's all Location, Location, Location.

In photography, location makes a big difference. Though things like exposure also come into play. ;-)

I am fortunate to live on the coast, and on days like the one when I took this, I count my blessings.
