It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

My absolute favorite time of the year. Heavy dews and morning frosts mean that I better get out my waterproof hiking shoes and pants.

Felt terrific to just get out in the morning chill. Images aren't great and were taken later after most of the dew had already evaporated (but the insects were still sluggish and trying to warm up). The little lone milkweed beetle taken with the 180mm macro. The rest with the 300mm.

Won't be too long before the colors turn drab. Get the critters now before they're gone (and while they're in super slo-mo).
