    Great shots, Dylan.

What's the bird in the first one?
The crane with the footprints is awesome!

I hear weather's pretty cold still there. I'm hoping things warm up a little before my trip in June.

thanks cara, i believe its a dusky grouse (formerly blue grouse)

there were two cranes walking across that lake (floating island) but i like the shot with just one cause it gives the feeling of more isolation/loneliness.

the weather (in mammoth) has been alright. up higher it might still be a bit cool, but spring IS here. it jsut takes a while for 20+ feet of snow to melt so if your here in early june, there will be snow around.

    Awesome !!!

I will be there June 10 - 15 I am staying in Grand Teton at signal mountain lodge, I was going to take 2 days in yellowstone but I changed it due to the construction on the roads I was there in 2008 and it took forever to get back to GTNP. SO I decieded to go to the Wolf Grizzly preserve in west yellowstone then go to lamar and Haden valleys.

Have they started the road contruction from Grant village to the south gate yet ? and if so how bad are the delays ?

    thanks everyone.

mahopac, i haven't heard anything about construction there this summer. I know they chip sealed that whole stretch last year. and my parents went through this weekend and saw no construction (just 6 foot snow banks still).
