    ID this snake

This was in my backyard in some cinderblocks. I live in western kentucky. This is a young version of a unknown snake. I could not find anything that definitely matches it in my field guide.
    Extra info for the herpetologists.
The anal plate is divided. The profile is round. Scales maybe weakly keeled.

definately storeria dekayi wrightorum, the midland brown snake. Totally harmless. The crossbars on the dorsal stripe are characteristic of the midland race.

well, you weren't too far off, they are really similar to the glance.

Also, this snake is probably an adult. 15 inches is a BIG female, with 8-12 inches being average adult size.
