I'd like you to meet Teddy

Ted lives at the North American Bear Center in Ely, MN. It's estimated that Ted weighed in at around 1,000 pounds in the Fall of 2006. This could be the heaviest black bear on record. With a new home at the Bear Center, a new diet and more exercise, Ted now weighs in at a lean 860.5 pounds. You can read more about Teddy here.

Could be because his lady friend ran and hid from him! He chased her around the enclosure and she hid inside of a "den" that was only big enough for one. She never came back out the entire time we were there.
