Wow, great series. The third and fourth ones are especially nice.

Nice, really like 3 and the last one. Just snowed here over the last weekend, got some similar shots.

Thank you guys, much appreciated!! I dont mind going out in the cold to get some pics. With that series I took a few ice chunks down the back of my shirt but oh well, it was worth it.

Nice shooting, slayer! I too like your #3 and I think your #4 is great - excellent eye finding a combination of icicles, torns, and ice "crackles".

Be careful of your backgrounds, even OOF ones. In #3, by shooting from a slightly lower vantage point, you could have eliminated the OOF branch cutting across the bottom of the frame. In #4, shooting from a lower angle again may have enabled some of the torns to be against a slightly lighter background which would have made them more prominent.

I haven't been able to make it out for any photo opps. I'm glad you have been able to take advantage of the situation

Thanks for the advice loupey and for the comments! I dont even think about those things as much as I should, and I'm glad you reminded me. With OOF shots I should make a habit of evaluating the whole frame instead of just the subject thats right in front of me.

    Thanks again!
