    I stalked this beauty.

My intention this morning was to try and call in hawks. However, I never saw a hawk anywhere, which was unusual for this area. Instead, I walked down a trail leading to a small slough, and found this fella fishing. I was wearing my ghillie suit and would take a few slow steps and then stop for awhile. I could tell he knew something was amiss. It was only after he heard the shutter click a couple times that he decided he wasn't totally safe. However, instead of flying away, he flew right past me. I would have had a couple better shots, but didn't pull the zoom back fast enough and clipped a little of the wing. I could have repaired the wing, but instead decided to take my punishment like a man.

The ghillie suit really works. It's nice to not have to crop out 50%, while trying to keep things sharp.

Nice find Mike! It's nice to hear that the ghillie suite works. Have you had it a while, or is it new? What ghillie suit do you have? I have wanted one since I was a kid and could never justify the cost. After finding that fox den a couple weeks ago, I finally broke down and ordered one. It came on Friday but I was gone all weekend and haven't had time to get out with it yet. I will give it a go this weekend, weather permitting. This is what I got.

This was my first time use. It cost me $69.95 plus shipping.

Wow beautiful capture. All your hard work definitely paid off!!! However, I have a question about the camera you're using. I don't recognize it. However, it does blend well with the suit. Does the long barrel add more zoom/accuracy to your lens??? hahaha
    Again, great photography!!!
