Some nice shots Amber. What lens are you using for birds? I use the same mount, and have tried a tamron 300mm, and gave it up for a sigma 400mm f/5.6. I cant seem to get anything decently sharp at these lengths. You would think it's from camera shake, but I am usually at least 1/focal on my shutter, add that with antishake and there should be a few sharp ones.

The lens is the SAL-75300 - f/4.5-5.6 Telephoto Zoom Lens. I only have two lenses lol that one and the one that came with the A-100 kit.
