    Hummingbirds out in the open

Visited a park near where we will be moving soon. Found many ruby-throated out in the open (there were feeders next to the visitors center nearby). Noticed that they tend to return to the same perch after they fed. Waited around (about 2 hours).

Bev, that last one was shot with your recommendations. I popped off the 2x and used 1/1500s at ISO 400. However, it still wasn't fast enough to freeze the wings

The others were with the 2x on the 300mm and all at ISO 200. First 2 at f/9.5 at 1/90s and the 3rd at f/11 at 1/125s.

Sorry if these images seem academic. I'm kind of excited as this was my 2nd attempt at shooting hummingbirds and the 1st time I got them out in the open (not near feeders).
