    Huge Black Bear

I love to capture bears. This is one of my favorites out of my bear pics due to her size. I took it a couple of years ago when I was on the Rubicon trail. This is a huge Female that had a cub with her. With the camera I was using I had to get closer than I wanted to. A adrenaline rush to say the least. This was one of the first pictures I took with my DSC H-1. It was really disappointing seeing all the purple fringe I had in the pictures. I tried to remove what I could.

Brave capture. How close was, "closer than I wanted to."? - TF

You've got nerves, buddy. Next time go after the cub, all right?

Yeah, I don't think I would have attempted it on foot unless I was with someone I didn't like all that much and who I could outrun.

While they are dangerous, I don't think you were in danger if you acted non aggressively like I always do.
