    Hooray for Buntings!

Its been thoroughly miserable weather wise here, grey, freezing and frosty, some days there is little or no bird life to be seen, but out for a walk with the dogs yesterday, sitting on frosty strands of old dog rose bushes were these Buntings which were a pleasure to see.

that second one is a wonderful winter image
as I looked at the first I was going to ask if you had one with more frosted foliage
then I scrolled down and found it !

I wish I wasn't working and could go out and photograph

Thanks Smartwombat. Shame it was'nt a little sharper.
I know the feeling, well, probably not as much as you! but these were only taken at a park near to me where i exercise the dogs before i start work, but last day today then not back til the 8th Jan!!
I am looking forward to the Christmas hols so that i can go out somewhere different with some luck, although bird life is very quiet at this time, and the weather permitting!! as they have put out blizzards for this part of the country around the 29th december!! but they can be wrong.

    Happy Christmas!
