Thanks for the link Paul! Now if I could just figure out how to market this shot like the other Mike Smith did.

Thanks for the kind words Chunk!

I'm not possitive, but I think that little spot in it's mouthe is a bug. I took my eyes off of it for a second and when i looked up, it appeard to be munching on something.

Nothing really to post yet, but I was curious Paul how you market yours. Any tips?

I have only one tip... don't quit your day job ;)

I have many birding contacts and they like my images. I don't make hardly anything right now($1000 last year), but I have many images I SHOULD be pushing. I would say (with nature images) contact your local NWR's, audubon society, sierra club and so on. See if they are interested in using your images, or even hanging them with your contact info

I saw this from a distance yesterday. My first thought was a finch, but I'm not sure... This is the best shot I have of it, which isn't much...

no, the beak is closed so it appears. As you can tell, the tufted titmouse has a black beak with a black patch above it. What you see(or atleast I do) is the tip of the beak.

I don't think it's the tip of the beak, it could be part of what it was eating but I thought it also could be its tongue. Here is a cropped head shot.

I would say tricolored blackbird, but I've never seen a one. It appears to have red and white on the wing and the bicolored variant of RWBB has red and yellow.

The pleasure is definately all mine, but your welcome.

Do you understand "HONORARY BOWHAY" ?

That refers to the Bowhays on the bourd, as in Gene and Penny. They love me, I love them. They are honestly 2 off the most amazing people I have ever gotten to know.

    Re: What's this?

Young bird indeed and you have the field marks to ID it, though the angle doesn't show the tail properly. Look at te field marks and ID points ;) Being that young, realise that it is still on breeding territory. This was taken near my house.

You are warm, but pipits don't look like that or breed anywhere near NJ ;)
