Last year, I wrote about the distress that the marsh I regularly visit was experiencing during the particularly dry and hot summer. That thread can be found here:

Despite heavy snow and rain earlier this year, the marsh never recovered and is probably within a few weeks of drying out completely again. We won't get the herons and egrets that we had last year since every tadpole and fish (and most frogs) perished last year.
But I'll be monitoring it on a nearly daily basis so I'll keep you posted.
