    Head in a hole

Yup, I visited the fox den again today. After 5 1/2 hours of staking out the badger den and not seeing a thing, I knew the fox would lift my spirits. They weren't as active as I would have liked, but this one did give me some close up shots. This is full frame, taken at 500mm, f/10 1/200 second, hand held, while standing on one of those lawn chairs that come in a bag that everyone has. Not very stable, but it worked out.

Thanks Paul. The kit's wouldn't come out of their den, so I got out to walk around a bit. I could see this one inside the hole, so I went over towards it, and whistled. The kit stuck it's head out to see what was going on and, and just kept watching me. I had time to go back to my truck and get my chair for a few close ups.

Thanks Payn and Knight. Here are a few more from Saturdays outing. I took my 170-500mm in to get it fixed today, so I don't know when I will be able to get back out there. Hopefully the local shop can fix it and I'll have it back for the weekend.
