    Harris' Hawk

    no info until later (house full of guests)

    Took this yesterday.

    Sorry for the "man influence" in the form of power line, but, it was working a prey animal with it's partner and I got the shot where I could.

    no processing, no fix of this or that, just slight crop and post. I'll post a couple more and my usual Desert Dweller info tomorow or Sunday

    That's a great looking hawk even with the "man influence" in the image!

    beautiful harris. i have a friend out here that hunts them. they are speactular up close but this is the real deal.

    I assuming he means tht he is a Falconer who uses them for hunting.......at least I hope so.

    no i mean he hunts them. says they taste kinda like a cross between a whooping crane and a spotted owl
