    Goldfinch? and a dove...

See, you bird people are rubbing off on me.

Was dog sitting this week and the yard of the house had tons of birds. Kept hearing cardinals but didn't see them. Of course today I let the dog out and didn't bring my camera... what do I see? Three male cardinals and one female flitting about.

I believe the yellow one is a goldfinch but isn't sure. I saw him and what I think was a female today. I think the dove is a mourning dove, but again, not sure.

    Re: Goldfinch? and a dove...

You are correct on both. #1 is an adult male american goldfinch.

The dove is a young mourning dove. Good pictures!
