    Gambel's Quail

I'm pretty new to digital SLR…critiques welcome.

Question: Any reason picture dimensions max is 640 pixels?

What a gorgeous bird! His (?) camoflauge is so good I can hardly see his face. Great shot. What lens, exposure, etc.?

Great quail image there. Besides the odd crop, I see no real flaws to your images. Maybe a little more sharpening though.

The reason for small file sizes is the load speed for us dialup guys ;) I refuse to pay $50 a month to surf the net, when I can surf for $10 slower at home . That's $500 a year more to feed my birding addiction

    I used a Canon Rebel XT SLR with a Canon 70-210 zoom Shutter - 1/1600 Aperture - 10

Over at MTB Review, picture limit is 1024 pixels, (I've posted a number of 'Critter' photos on the Arizona board). I've recropped and resized my shots so the actual bird would be prominent in the photo. The artistic aspect took a second to featuring the bird, itself.

    All low resolution for posting.

Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming.
