Foxy
I finally got lucky and got myself some decent fox images. It sure was on my wish list. After drivng around a wildlife refuge for 1 1/2 hours and seeing nothing but coot and a couple Blue Jays, this fella was a pleasant surprise.

Re: Foxy
Beautiful fox. Love that last shot.
Saw a dead one on the shoulder of the expressway today :( Guess he tried to run the six lane gauntlet and lost.

Re: Foxy
Fine captures! Isn't it nice to have something just pop out in front of you? Nice job.....

Re: Foxy
Nice find Mike! I love photographing fox. I'm hoping to find some in the snow this winter, if we ever get any snow. It's raining now. :s I have been meaning to email to see how you have been. Haven't seen you around here much lately.

Re: Foxy
Thanks for the comments, all.
Cara, where is the pic of your fox? :D
Mike, if you want snow, come on over. We got about 4 - 5 inches and the winds are gusting to over 40 mph. I've had enough of winter. As an FYI, the fox was shot in Wisconsin. :)
Eric, he didn't pop out in front. He was off to the side of the road. My first couple grab shots were a bit cluttered, but OK. However, while I was in the car chimping, he came back out into the open, so I got back out and knelt down and started firing, with him coming straight towards me the whole time. At one point, I actually had to pull back on my 100-400 to get him all in the frame. It was a real rush. I think he was just curious.
Here is another one where he is looking straight at me.
