    Follow the leader?

    A shoal (Does 6 count as a shoal?) of Dogfish?

    Taken from the back of the boat using the 100-400mm

    Cool fish shots! Are they called anything besides dogfish? In the U.S, we have a few different species that we refer to them as "dogfish". One of the most common is the bowfin.(mudfish,dogfish)
    Looking at the tail and fins of these they look to me like some type of mullet.Also mullet usually travel in small to huge schools. These look larger than any mullet we have here. Have you ever fished for these? Or seen somebody fishing for these? You have me intrigued!!

    They could be thin lipped grey mullet - someone told me they're not good to eat.

    I'm not a fisherman so couldn't tell you for sure. I must get a book on identifying wild animals, fish and birds.
