Flying Mallards, Flying RT, Parked Kestrel, Dog with Prize

OK....I know the dog in 1st one is neither 'Nature', nor 'Wildlife'...but his 'prize' qualifies!

American Kestrel - Heavy Crop here....I'll get close to one of these things one day...today wasn't it though.

RT Hawk in flight...close to home...as shot, will only a slight PP on the levels HG.

Female Mallard in flight - slight crop

Female Mallard coming in for a landing

Male Mallard - full frame, no crop, slight PP on the levels. Funny colour on the head huh? II didn't do that in PS, that was the odd purple colour they actually were....not the greenish sheen I'm used to seeing.

These two had enough of me inching closer---they bugged out.

These were all shot in 'sports' mode, at 400mm (I know, I know Loupey...I DID try in Manual mode...but these turned out better...I'm still workin' on it...)

    Cheers,

    Randy.

I only see little boxes with an X in them.

I can see them now except for one image. The images that I can are on the small side, don't know if that's intentional.

I like your mallard shots... especially the hen and drake together in the first image.

Frustrating trying to get them to show up, and not be really small/low quality...

They are all available on my photoblog in full size, high res though...

If anyone has an 'optimum size' or 'optimum res', I'd love to hear it.

I always resize to 700 pixels on the longest axis, and compress to about 100k. The finished file size is between 100 and 150k.

Nice shots and the light/colours are great, but Oooh! poor little racoony.
