    The Fly

    Hrm.. Test shot with all my tubes with my 70-200 F/2.8L IS @ 200mm. :-) took it from maybe 4 or 5ft away.. I like the detail, but something is lacking imo.. help me out? lol

    I can't believe that fly stayed there long enough for you to get that image. I think the "lacking" you mentioned is that's it's a little over exposed. I little Photoshop and the Levels Tool will fix that. Great shot, though.

    I agree, a bit overexposed. A little more DoF wouldn't hurt either. Super sharp though, your shutterspeed and proning technique is good.

    idk what was with it, i waved my hand infront of it, and it didnt move.. im guessing it was stunned by something moments before.

    The shutter speed wasnt any higher than 1/350th i believe. IS really helped me. F/8 is what I was using for that day.

    Thanks for the tips, ill take them with me next time I shoot a fly on a leaf.. lol. :-)

    Not much missing on this one , maybe a little burning in PS would tone down the brightness a bit . You got good detail on the fly`s head a little more on the back and wings would have really made it stand out . But in all its still a very good Capture
