First pictures, from an afternoon drive

Hope this works. My wife and I were out for an afternoon drive recently, hoping to find some returning birds. One of the first surprises we got was this family of geese running along the old country road we were on. How they got there I do not know, nearest water we could see was at least a kilometre or more away. A little further on we came across our first redwinged black bird.. I suspect he was telling me to stop and take his picture.

    Cheers,

That secong image is quite humorous.

Geese that nest far from water are very uncommon to say the least!
