    A first for me

Not my first time photographing otters, but my first time photographing an otter in Wisconsin! We found this otter in a small pond only a few miles from where we live where we regularly take our dogs to let them run. My golden retriever had fun chasing the otter around the pond. The otter seemed to be playing with the dog.

Thanks Phil. We went back to this pond again tonight and scanned the area for about an hour, but didn't see any signs of the otter...

Thanks Loupey! My wife went back to the pond again this morning but didn't see any sign of the otter.

great find. otters are quite comical and I have witnessed them playing with a 12 ft alligator and even running down it's back and jumping from it's gaped mouth.

I'd love to get a photo of that.

Actually, I'd even be happy with an otter photo like Mike's.
