    A first for me

I went for a wander today and got a long shot at a hairy woodpecker.

Then got a first for me, male and female Pine Grosbeaks, I believe

Not great shots but it was nice being out walking, and seeing something new.

Hi Scott, its great when you see a species for the first time. My camera is in for repairs and I swear since I have been without it I must have spotted about 5 new species with what would have been some great shots too. Hopefully getting the camera back in a week or so thank god, its like being without a hand or something.

What camera are you using? Just wondering.

I can't seem to find great shots with birds.

Scott....That looks cold Are you still buried in lots of snow and heavy frost?

It's comforting to see that I'm not the only person whom birds hide behind branches for It's always a joy to find new birds and one never seems to get to shots first time around....
