    Smile First ducklings

Guess what I saw today? My first ducklings this year! And Mummy Duck was busy - there was 10 of them (not all in this photo ), but they seemed pretty well behaved They must be some of the first ones around here, haven't heard reports of any other ones.

I apologise for the image quality, lighting and access was far from optimum - even climbed a fence to my well-behaved daughters' disgust

    Well in advance of ours.
I hope to get a chance to go out looking tomorrow, if I can find the loan note certificate I need to send in for redemption, first.

It sounds like you're setting a bad example for your well behaved daughter. Cool capture.

Paul, I'm surprised - usually the UK, at least South, seem to be a month ahead? Copenhagen is same latitude as Edinburgh I think. But we have had glorious almost summer-like weather the last couple of weeks, which really have pushed things along rather fast But I think these ones must be some of the first...

Thanks, Mike I know - and it's not just the one, I've got three well behaved daughters....so far

    I really like this shot.
With the sun at that angle you can really see how fuzzy the ducklings are.

Don't appologize for the quality! It's a beautiful shot. I agree that the lighting shows off the fuzz on the ducklings. Can anything be cuter than ducklings?

Very nice shot Mette, I saw ducklings several times last year but never when I had a camera handy...
