A few random species from recent shoots.

As usual, there are always plenty of other species around than the ones I actually went into an area to photograph. I always try to capture any bird that is in a nice pose, or good light.....regardless of what else is out there. Here are a few recent "opportunity" shots:

    Crested Caracara

    Little Blue Heron (breeding plumage)

Glossy Ibis in flight. Manual mode - exposure adjusted on the fly (I was set up for white birds when he flew in).

Black-Necked Stilt - A tough bird to photograph. They have red in their eyes, and you don't see it unless you have proper head turn and light angle.

Laughing Gull - I just liked the comp.

Stunning shots Bob. I hope you realize how lucky you are to live somewhere that has SO many different types of cool looking birds. I have seen birds I've never seen before in my life from you. Some are so crazy looking! Like that one that looks like a small eagle with a head transplant.
You should do a coffee table book or something.
