First year I've seen them here, but they've been here all winter. We get some hooded mergs as well.

I have seen roseate spoonbills at arms length when taking images of them in little estero lagoon. They do indeed have butter face... everything looks but her face

Post them. You should never compare your work to someone else's and be intimidated. We're all just at different stages of photography. Believe me, I shoot regularly with people who make me look like a newbie! I watch what they do, and learn from their images. I also accept critique from them.

You posted some fine images in that set I commented on the other day. Almost all I shoot is birds, so I should be good at it by now :-)
