Here are a few more shot this spring. I'm finally forcing myself to go through all the work since January, and I'm finding quite a few gems in there that I missed on the initial passes while processing. That's pretty easy to do when you shoot thousands a week. I've owned my 1DsMII since June of 2006, and I just passed 500,000 images on it. I expect it'll need a new shutter any time now, but it sure has been an unbelievable camera. Anyway, these were shot in March. I remember the Great Egret in the first two. He is one of the nicest I've ever seen. I shot him for awhile before the sun started to set, and then went off to shoot something else. As I was walking back out of Little Estero lagoon (from in the water, of course), I noticed how the setting sun was lighting him in that wonderful warm, yellow light. I also noticed that same light on the water. Made for a few moments of really nice images. The Wilson's Plover was actually shot that same day, but in the morning. He was hunkered down in that hole because the wind was blowing, and it was rather cool out.
And last but least, we have a Great Egret vying for the attention of photographers. He has obviously broken into a song-and-dance number, while holding an unknown white object in his mouth in a shameful attempt to make the cut and be photographed in hopes of being discovered. To steal a line from the old Starkist commercials.....Sorry Charlie
