These birds were all over the place by the marshes. This was the first female I seen though.

Yeah, the males are more noticeable.

Crisp focus indeed, and nice catchlight in the eye!

However, I find a bit unflattering the way in which the bird's neck is positioned.

I know it sometimes can be very hard to obtain an absolutely perfect shot, and you may have to take what's available. You did do a good job on holding the sharpness.:thumbsup:
