    Xmas eve morning...Merritt Island (image heavy)

    Got to Black Point early Xmas Eve. Mark (MRBass) met me up there for a nice loop. Here are some of my scores.

    1. Bobcat on the hunt...barely noticed him.....



    2. Roseatte Spoonbill


    3. Roseatte Spoonbille out in the open water



    4. One big ass otter...




    5. Green Heron




    6. GBH




    7. Snowy Egret with some serious hair issues!




    8. Juvenile Yellow Crowned Night Heron (I believe)




    9. Yellow leg ( I believe)


    10. White Pelican



    11





    12. Tri-Colored Heron





    13. Some sort of Gull


    14. Kingfisher




    15 Kingfisher....missed again!



    16. Another one I dont know (Gull of some sort)




    17 Reddish Egret..



    18 Another Reddish Egret....Look at the reddish beard!

    Eric, great images as usual. I smiled when I saw the Snowy Egret - looks like he had a hard night on the town, or got caught in a stiff breeze.

    Great series as usual Eric. I'm not positive, but I think your gulls may be ring billed gulls.

    Eric, #9 is a Greater Yellow-legs, we get them up here (Alberta) in our summer time. The gulls are Ring-billed Gulls as mjs1973 has suggested, #13 is most probably an immature one as suggested by the mottled grey neck area, #16 may be the same. They also make it up to my part of the woods, or prairies, in the summer. HTH.

    Gulls are Ring-Billed Gulls, for sure. Both still juvies, I think.

    Some amazing images here, but that bobcat is by far my favorite. VERY hard subject !
