Face down in the mud again...

Hey all, just another weekend shooting from my favorite POV. All these were taken with the 600mm f/4 off my beanbag/frisbee rig that you see in that picture of me on the other thread.

Gotcha! This guy finally came up close enough for me to shoot! I've seen him at a distance plenty of times, but this is the first time he gave me a really good photo op. I captured many good images of him, and will build another thread within the next couple days just to feature him. These are really unusual birds. For those who don't know, this is a Reddish Egret - White Morph

....And here is a "normal" Reddish Egret:

I gotta get over my phobia of lying in the dirt. Outstanding as usual Bob. Simply brilliant. That reddish Egret shot is beyond words.

Amazing as always. I really need to invest in a more powerful zoom or telephoto lens

Bob, I gotta say that that first image is about as perfect as anyone could have shot it. The quality of the ripples, the detail in the droplets, the helpless look of the prey, detail in the eyes...

    Definitely "magazine cover" material

Great shots again. I can't wait to fly down to see my mom and take some pictures. Not like the ones you take but of some of the same birds. I am shooting for the end of May. So don't scare them all away on me.LOL

Thanks for the Kind words everyone. They are appreciated. I like the first one as well, and hopefully the buyers will appreciate it as much as you all do! Thanks!

victorhuang20 - I only use manual focus if something is interfering with the auto-focus on the camera. Autofocus is far faster than manual in most cases.
