Taken at a game park near where we live - its dry at present and the gathering was about 300 elephant strong

What a terrific event to witness! You say it is dry, but the distant "meadow" looks green...or is that water? I'd love to do a photo safari out there before I die!

Yes it is dry - we have been without rain for some weeks and the water in the bush has dried up thus attracting the residents to this large water hole that is pumped full every day from a nearby dam.
The "meadow is in fact an irrigated Lucerne (Alfalfa) field to which the elephant do not have access.
