    Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca)

    This was taken in the late evenign while moored outside a pub.

    Took me a while to find out what they are. Their not in my book of British birds

    Those are an awesome looking goose. I have seen 2 in the US, but they must have been excapees from a farm or zoo.

    Thanks paul,

    They weren't in my book of British birds but it seems that we are now getting lots of birds which have not been seen here before . According to a nature program on last week we even get American birds which have been blown off course by hurricanes.

    I don't know if they migrated here or are residents.
