    Eastern Massassauga Rattlesnake

in the interest of keeping this population of endangered rattlesnakes safe, I have to decline a location. This snake was HOT and nasty for it's photoshoot, so these are the only two that really came out well. The rest are a series of "head out of frame" and other assorted bloopers. Head behind grass, nothing but the eyes behind grass, I have a ton of junk on this one.

    Wow!

Of this I am truly jealous. I spent three and a half years in Michigan looking for this snake. Oh well, it's nice to see some one stumbled upon it. I have come across few hots in my searchings, and never had my dang camera with me when I did. You did a good job of this. These little guys have a nasty temper, and are legend for being difficult to graple with.

    I love the rattle shots!
