Finally warmer temperatures have arrived over here in CT. With this I was able to go out the past 2 days in the woods outback to try and capture some spring life. There was plenty of it, just had to look hard, and close.
These first few were from the first day out.
On way walking towards a little pond, I was looking down on the ground and almost stepped on this little gardener snake. At first I thought he was dead because he wasn't moving at all. I picked up a stick in order to gently move a leaf off of his head and he barely budged.
This is the only decent shot I was able to get of a blooming tree. I forgot the tripod attachment for my camera so I ended up just using my tripod as a mono pod.
The rest are from the second day out.
Caught this guy taking a nap. This was the first time I actually crawled around on the ground (which I now have a new respect on what some of you go through to get shots, haha) in order to take some pictures, I mean, I didn't want to wake the guy.
Another spider that caught my eye while I was stalking the duck.
This next guy was flying around low in the trees around me. I followed him back to his nest where him and his significant other were going in and out of their nest in the tree. Only decent shot to come out of the series. He was a fast one. Definitely need some practice when it comes to birds. A little out of focus, I couldn't keep up! Haha.
I also came across some turkeys, maybe about 4-5 of them. Wasnt able to get any good pictures. They were up on a bank and the grass in the field was too tall.
Sorry for the long post! But thanks for looking!
