This friendly little guy came strolling up to me today while I was fishing at a nearby lake. Not sure where he flew in from, I do know I have never seen him around here before. He sure was trying to show off for me.
Maybe he neede help with his itch..

Darin, any idea what kind of a duck it is. Looks a little like it could be an immature Snow goose, among other things. Anyone? Just curious myself. Thanks.
Thanks for the comments. Western Guy, I have no idea what kind of duck this one is. I sure would like to find out though. It was with a flock of other mixed colored ducks and mallards. There were about 25-30 in this flock. I frequent this pond and was there the day before and this flock was not there, so they flew in from somewhere for migration. The funny thing was this duck followed me around for about 10 minutes. I took my camera out of my backpack ta take a picture of it. He/She? heard the shutter and immediately turned its head sideways and walked closer to me. I took another picture and it started doing this pose, but only when I pointed the camera at him would it pose like this. As soon as I pointed the camera in a different direction it would put his leg back to the ground and his wing would fall back down. I did this at least a dozen times just to make sure I wasn't imagining things. I couldn't believe it. This moment gave me a whole new respect to ducks. I'm now more curious than ever to learn more about them. I did catch and release a few fish but this was by far the high lite of the day for me. I have other pictures of the flock I will post up later.
